Bhrigu Joshi Appointed Head – People & Culture at SAP in India

SAP has appointed Bhrigu Joshi as Head of People & Culture in India. He joins the role after serving as Market HR Leader at Google India.

In his new role, Bhrigu will lead SAP’s India People & Culture team, develop and deliver the India people strategy, and align HR priorities with the company’s global people agenda and business requirements.

Extensive Experience

Bhrigu brings more than 20 years of professional experience across human resources, HR consulting and project management, based on his career history.

Before returning to SAP, he worked at Google as Market HR Leader for India, where he led teams responsible for HR processes, consulting and country-level programmes.

He previously spent more than six years at SAP in various HR leadership roles. His last position there was Vice President and Head of People & Culture for the UK and Ireland.

Earlier, he served as Senior Director – Global People Initiatives, working on culture, employee experience, diversity and inclusion, health and wellness. As Director HRBP for Technology & Innovation, he supported more than 2,400 employees across India and Singapore and served as Country HR Leader for Concur India.

Before SAP, Bhrigu was Director – Human Resources at MakeMyTrip, handling HR business partnering, compensation, learning, performance management, and talent acquisition. He also worked as Vice President – HR at HSBC, focusing on talent management and strategic resourcing.

Earlier, he spent over four years at KPMG as Manager, HR Consulting, working on people and change advisory assignments across India, Dubai and Africa.

He began his career at Thermax in project management in the power division.

Bhrigu holds a master’s degree in Human Resource Management and Labour Relations from the Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai, and a BTech in Power Engineering from the National Power Training Institute.
