Dharmendra Sinha Appointed CEO of Accenture Edge

Dharmendra Sinha has joined Accenture as CEO of Accenture Edge, its business serving high-growth mid-market companies, bringing around 30 years of experience in technology and business leadership.

In his new role, he will lead Accenture Edge’s strategic vision, growth agenda and innovation priorities, helping mid-market clients use technology, cloud, AI and digital solutions to address business and growth needs.

Extensive Experience

Before joining Accenture, Dharmendra spent four years at Rackspace Technology, where he served as President, Public Cloud Business Unit. He led the public cloud business and was part of the company’s executive leadership.

Prior to Rackspace Technology, Sinha spent 24 years at Cognizant in senior leadership roles. He served as President, North America, where he worked across multiple industry sectors, and as Executive Vice President and President, Global Client Services.

In the latter role, he led the global go-to-market organisation covering sales, field marketing, partnerships and industry alliances.

During his Cognizant tenure, Dharmendra was part of the leadership team during the company’s growth from around $25 million to $16 billion in annual revenue.

He also founded and served as President of the Cognizant US Foundation, which focused on STEM education, workforce reskilling and digital talent development.

Earlier in his career, Dharmendra worked with Tata Consultancy Services and CMC Limited, adding experience across the Indian technology services sector.

His career spans technology services, cloud, client management, business development and digital solutions.

Dharmendra holds an MBA from Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra, and a bachelor’s degree in Science from Patna Science College, Patna.
