Onida Appoints Neelam Sanguri as Chief People Officer

Onida Electronics Limited, a leading Indian consumer electronics and home appliances company, has appointed Neelam Sanguri as Chief People Officer.

In her new role, she will lead the company’s people strategy, talent management, leadership development, and organisational development. Based in Mumbai, she will report to the Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director.

Extensive Experience

Neelam joins Onida with over 16 years of experience in human resources across the consumer durables, technology, edtech, and financial services sectors.

Before joining Onida, she served as Chief People Officer and Chief Customer Officer at Credilio Financial Technologies, where she built the company’s HR function and supported its growth. Earlier, she was Director – Talent Transformation at EZScholar Edutech, leading talent and organisational development initiatives.

She spent nearly seven years at BSH Household Appliances Manufacturing, where she led learning and development, employee engagement, internal communications, leadership development and performance management. Earlier in her career, she held HR roles at HCL Technologies and Altisource Business Solutions.

Commenting on the appointment, Gunjan Srivastava, Chief Executive Officer of Onida Electronics Limited, said the company continues to strengthen its leadership team as it expands its business. He said Sanguri’s experience in talent and organisation development will support the company’s long-term plans.

Speaking on her appointment, Neelam Sanguri said she looks forward to contributing to the company’s next phase of growth by building a strong workplace culture and supporting employee development.

Neelam holds a Post Graduate Certificate in Human Resource Management from XLRI Jamshedpur. She has also served as an Expert Resource at the Delhi Management Association.
