RateGain Appoints Shobana Kailash as Chief Human Resources Officer

RateGain Travel Technologies has appointed Shobana Kailash as Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO), effective August 25, 2026. She will be based in Noida.

Shobana succeeds Sahil Sharma, who stepped down as CHRO effective August 24, 2026. He will continue with RateGain until October 8, 2026, to support the transition.

Shobana Kailash to Lead Global HR Function

As CHRO, Shobana will work closely with the leadership team on talent and people priorities as RateGain continues to grow its global business. Her role will also include strengthening the company’s culture and developing the skills needed as the use of AI increases across the business.

Commenting on the appointment, Bhanu Chopra, Founder and Managing Director, RateGain, said the company is growing quickly and AI is becoming an important part of both its products and the way employees work. He added that Shobana’s experience in managing people functions during periods of growth would be valuable to the company.

Shobana said she was attracted to RateGain because of its work across travel, data and AI. She added that she looks forward to working with the leadership team and employees to build the people capabilities and workplace culture needed for the company’s next phase of growth.

Shobana Kailash’s Experience

Shobana brings more than two decades of experience in HR across technology, SaaS, fintech, life sciences and e-commerce. She has held senior HR roles at Hubilo, Freshworks, Amazon and IQVIA.

Her experience includes organisational design, workplace culture, compensation and benefits, HR transformation and cross-border mergers and acquisitions. Her career has included work across more than 30 countries.

Before joining RateGain, Shobana was advising organisations through her consulting practice. She previously served as Global CHRO at Hubilo.
