Samir Kumar joins Goodluck India Limited as the Corporate HR Head and shall be responsible to steer Group HR for the entire Goodluck India Group having a turnover of INR 3000 Cr PA.

Goodluck group is into Steel. Heavy Structures and Forging business, a Company run by IITians and firmly on the growth path to become a 5000 Cr Company. It has 5 manufacturing Units in Sikandrabad and 1 in the Kutch region of Gujarat.

Mr. Samir has worked for Large Manufacturing Entities like Steel Authority of India Ltd. (SAIL), Adani & Jindal group etc.

He started his career with Steel Authority of India Ltd(SAIL) as a Management Trainee in 1993 and during his 13 years stint with SAIL, got all the promotions in the minimum possible time.

During the stint with M/s Welspun and Adani group, was identified as a High Potential employee (HiPO) in the Assessment & Development Centre (ADC) run by independent third party assessors as part of the Talent Management framework of the Organization(s).

He has handled the entire gamut of HR including the operational and Strategic aspects of HR for large manufacturing Units.

He has performed the role of HR Business Partner and a consultant to Business Leaders on People matters of the Unit and implemented many cycles of Talent Management including HiPO identification & tracking, development, Succession Planning of Key positions, critical positions identification, feeder roles, IDPs implementation etc.

He did his Schooling from Vikas Vidyalaya, Ranchi, one of the best public schools of that time, senior secondary from Birla’s school in Pilani, Rajasthan and graduated from Kirori Mal College, Delhi. He completed PGCHRM from XLRI, Jamshedpur.
