Shiprocket Appoints Saumya K as Group CHRO and Business Head – 10XPeople.Ai

Shiprocket has elevated Saumya K as Group Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) and Business Head – 10XPeople.Ai. She has been with Shiprocket since 2021, most recently serving as Group CHRO.

In her new role, Saumya will lead the group’s human resources function and head 10XPeople.Ai. Her responsibilities will include people strategy, talent, learning, organisation development and supporting the business’s growth.

Extensive Experience

Saumya has over two decades of experience working with founders, CEOs and boards, helping organisations scale through hyper-growth, M&A, IPOs and listed-company expansion, while building people, technology and business platforms with full P&L responsibility.

She joined Shiprocket in 2021 as SVP & Head HR and became Group CHRO in 2023. She has spent around five years with the company in senior HR roles.

Before Shiprocket, Saumya spent nearly five years at Yum! Brands as Associate Director – Talent, Learning & Rewards. Earlier, she worked with Gap for two years as Head – Learning & Organisation Development, focusing on employee development and organisation-related initiatives.

She began her career with Tata Group, where she worked in performance management and employee engagement for two years. She then spent more than two years with Perfetti Van Melle in talent acquisition.

At Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages, she worked as an HR Business Partner for more than four years, supporting teams across Delhi and western Uttar Pradesh.

Saumya holds an MBA in Human Resources from Institute of Management Technology, Ghaziabad. She also completed the ISB-YUM Senior Leadership Development Program and holds a BA Honours in English Literature from Delhi University.
