TVS Motor Appoints Peyman Kargar as CEO, Will Succeed Radhakrishnan

TVS Motor Company has appointed Peyman Kargar as its next Director and Chief Executive Officer, with the appointment taking effect on January 27, 2027.

Peyman currently serves as President – International Business at the company and will succeed K N Radhakrishnan, who has led TVS Motor as CEO since 2008.
Peyman to Lead TVS Motor From January 2027
Peyman will serve as a whole-time director and key managerial personnel for a five-year term, according to the company’s regulatory filing.
Radhakrishnan will continue as Director and CEO until January 27, 2027, allowing time for the leadership transition. He will subsequently serve as a Non-Executive Director until the company’s Annual General Meeting scheduled for July 2027.

Peyman joined the company in March 2025 to head its international business and is based in Dubai. He has more than three decades of experience in the automotive industry across Europe, Asia, Africa and the Middle East.
Before joining TVS Motor, he held senior leadership positions at Nissan, including Global Chairman and President of Infiniti, as well as roles connected with Datsun and Nissan’s international operations.
International Business Gains Importance
Under Peyman’s leadership, the company’s international business has become an important part of its overseas expansion. The business currently accounts for about 29% of the company’s sales volume and is growing at 33%, according to TVS Motor.

The leadership change comes as TVS Motor continues to expand in international markets while focusing on premium motorcycles and electric vehicles.
Reuters reported that the company’s overseas operations have gained importance as TVS looks to strengthen its presence in developed markets.
Chairman Sudarshan Venu said Kargar had already made a meaningful contribution to the company’s international business and expressed confidence in his ability to lead TVS Motor. He also thanked Radhakrishnan for his contribution to the company over the years.
The transition marks a major leadership change for the company after Radhakrishnan’s long tenure as CEO, while keeping the incoming chief executive within the company’s existing leadership team.
