CIEL HR Group Appoints Dr. Yogesh Misra as CEO of Thomas Assessments and People Metrics

CIEL HR Group has elevated Dr. Yogesh Misra as the Chief Executive Officer of Thomas Assessments and People Metrics.

Dr. Yogesh takes over the CEO role after serving as Chief Business Officer at Thomas Assessments since November 2024.

He will now lead both Thomas Assessments and People Metrics, two key businesses within the CIEL HR Group focused on psychometric assessments, leadership development, talent science, and workforce analytics.

Extensive Experience

Dr. Yogesh brings more than 27 years of experience in talent strategy, leadership assessment, organisational capability, and competency-based consulting. Throughout his career, he has advised leading enterprises, public sector organisations and governments on high-impact people decisions.

Before becoming Chief Business Officer, he spent nearly a decade as Vice President at Thomas Assessments, where he played a key role in expanding the company’s leadership assessment and talent consulting practice.

Earlier, he headed the consulting business across North India and international markets, including Pakistan, Africa, the Middle East, and Southeast Asia.

He also previously served as Vice President & Head of Consulting at People Metrics, which later became part of the CIEL HR Group.

Beyond his corporate responsibilities, Yogesh has made notable contributions to the HR profession. He served as the Honorary President of the Delhi Management Association between 2020 and 2024, where he led initiatives to modernise the institution and promote digital-first management practices.

He has also authored and contributed research published by Harvard Business Publishing, Ivey Publishing, Emerald and Inderscience, reflecting his expertise in leadership, organisational effectiveness and talent science.

Dr. Yogesh holds an MBA from Savitribai Phule Pune University, a PhD in Strategy, Human Resources and Management from Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra, and a B.Sc. (Honours) in Chemistry from Hindu College, University of Delhi.

He has also completed executive education at IIM Ahmedabad and Yale University.
