Urban Company CHRO Neha Mathur Steps Down After Five Years

Urban Company has announced that its Chief Human Resource Officer, Neha Mathur, has resigned from her position, effective August 31, 2026.

The company disclosed the development to the stock exchanges on July 11, stating that Neha has stepped down due to personal reasons.

Extensive Career Journey

Neha has been associated with Urban Company for more than five years, joining the company in April 2021 as Chief Human Resource Officer.

During her tenure, she played a key role in shaping the company’s people strategy, talent management, leadership development, employee experience, and organizational culture as the technology-enabled home services platform expanded its operations.

Before joining Urban Company, Neha served as Head of Human Resources for India, South Asia, and Korea Ridesharing at Uber from October 2018 to March 2021. She was responsible for leading HR strategy across multiple markets during a period of significant business transformation.

Earlier in her career, she worked as an HR Business Partner at General Electric (GE) for three years. She also spent more than seven years at Accenture in management consulting, where she held the position of Principal.

Her professional journey also includes HR leadership roles at Reckitt Benckiser and The Coca-Cola Company, where she partnered with business leaders across sales and marketing functions.

Neha holds a Master’s degree in Personnel Management and Industrial Relations from the Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS).

Urban Company has not yet announced a successor for the Chief Human Resource Officer role. The company stated that her resignation will take effect from the close of business hours on August 31, 2026, in accordance with the applicable regulatory disclosure requirements.
