Cognizant has introduced Cognizant Skillspring, new AI-based learning platform built to help companies train their workforce for modern needs. This platform uses a mix of tools, including conversational features and different types of media, to make learning more practical and useful.

The goal is to replace older training methods that often feel slow and disconnected from real business goals. Instead, Skillspring helps companies connect learning efforts directly to job performance and results.

Rising Need for AI Skills

Recent research from Cognizant shows how fast artificial intelligence is changing work. The study estimates that AI could handle $4.5 trillion worth of tasks in the United States and affect up to 93% of jobs.

This rapid shift is moving faster than traditional training systems can keep up with. Because of this, companies now need ongoing learning systems that can adjust quickly.

Skillspring aims to meet this need by offering flexible learning that keeps up with changing job demands.

How Skillspring Works

Skillspring uses AI to guide employees through learning in a more personal way. It can match skills to specific roles, projects, and goals, then adjust as those needs change.

The platform also fits into daily work, allowing employees to learn while doing their jobs instead of stopping work for training sessions.

An internal feature called the AI Fluency Dashboard gives workers clear updates on their progress. It shows their skill levels, tracks improvement, and encourages regular use through scoring and simple rewards.

This helps build strong habits around learning and using AI tools at work.

Expanding Access to Learning

According to Kathy Diaz, the platform is designed to help people learn faster and stay aligned with business goals.

Beyond corporate use, Skillspring is also being shared with schools and training groups, including The Marcy Lab School. This effort builds on earlier programs like Synapse and supports wider access to AI education across different communities.
