Campus Designed for AI Computing

The purpose-built campus will serve frontier AI companies and hyperscalers. It will support high-density GPU deployments for AI training, inference and other advanced computing workloads.

The development will be carried out in phases based on customer demand and technology requirements.

HyperVault and its partners are expected to invest up to ₹70,000 crore in developing and managing the infrastructure. The investment figure relates to the wider project and should not be treated as an investment by TCS alone.

The project is also expected to create several thousand direct and indirect jobs. These opportunities are likely to span areas linked to data centre development and operations, including engineering, power, cooling, networking and construction. No specific job number has been announced.

The campus is planned around high-density infrastructure and liquid cooling, which are important for supporting the power and heat requirements of large GPU-based AI systems. Green-energy and water-neutral design principles are also part of the reported development plans.

TCS and HyperVault

TCS incorporated HyperVault AI Data Center Limited in October 2025 to build AI-ready data centre infrastructure.

In November 2025, TCS and TPG agreed to invest up to ₹18,000 crore in HyperVault, with the two parties initially structured to contribute in a 51:49 ratio. TPG subsequently acquired a 49% stake in March 2026.

TCS had earlier said HyperVault aims to develop AI data centres with capacity exceeding 1GW over the coming years. Separately, TCS and OpenAI announced plans for AI infrastructure in India starting with 100MW and an option to scale to 1GW.

Final Words

Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) is the technology services and consulting business of the Tata Group. Through HyperVault, TCS is expanding into AI-ready data centre infrastructure designed for high-performance and compute-intensive workloads.

The company says HyperVault is intended to provide secure and scalable infrastructure for AI applications and services.
