DRDO Opens 30 Paid Six-Month Internships for B.E./B.Tech and M.Sc Students

The Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) has invited applications for 30 paid internships at its Combat Aircraft Systems Development and Integration Centre (CASDIC), Bengaluru.

The six-month programme is open to eligible final-year B.E./B.Tech and second-year M.Sc students. Applications can be submitted until October 11, 2026.

The internship notification was published by DRDO on September 14, 2026, under advertisement number CASDIC/HRG/PDINTERN/2026/01.

30 Internship Positions Across Three Disciplines

The available positions are divided across three areas:

• Electrical, Electronics & Communication, and Electronics & Telecommunication – 12 positions
• Computer Science and Information Technology – 13 positions
• Mechanical Engineering – 5 positions

The internships will be based at CASDIC in Bengaluru.

Eligibility and Stipend

Final-year B.E./B.Tech students and second-year M.Sc students are eligible to apply.

Engineering students must have a minimum CGPA of 7.5 across all previous semesters, while M.Sc students must have secured at least 70% marks in their first-year examination.

Candidates must be enrolled in a full-time programme at an AICTE- or UGC-approved college or university and must be below 25 years of age.

Selected interns will receive a stipend of ₹5,000 per month for the six-month internship.

The stipend is subject to the candidate completing at least 15 working days at the laboratory each month. According to the notification, the stipend will be paid in two instalments after three and six months.

Selection and Application

Selection will be based on previous academic performance. DRDO may also conduct an online interview or interaction, if required.

Eligible students need to complete the prescribed internship application form and submit it to [email protected]. The last date for submitting applications is October 11, 2026. The deadline to apply is November 10, 2026.
