Indian Army Offers 75-Day AI and Web Dev Internship, Stipend Up to ₹75,000

The Indian Army has invited applications for a 75-day internship focused on AI-enabled workflow automation, web application development, and digital transformation.

The internship, offered under the Indian Army Internship Program (IAIP), will be conducted in Delhi and offers a stipend of up to ₹75,000 on successful completion.

The internship will begin on September 1, 2026, and the last date to apply is August 1, 2026.

Opportunity to Work on Live Technology Projects

The internship allows students to work on live projects related to digitisation of records, workflow automation, and AI-based document management. Interns will also contribute to the development and enhancement of web-based applications using Java, JavaScript and JSP technologies.

The project includes application development, dashboard creation, data analytics, process automation and integration of AI-based solutions. Students will work under the guidance of experts and gain practical experience in technology projects.

Eligibility and Internship Details

The internship is open to students pursuing B.Tech., B.E. or equivalent courses with a specialisation in Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning or Web Designing. Applicants must be available for the full 75-day duration and have the required skills and interest in the project.

The internship carries 15 academic credits.

The IAIP is a nationwide initiative that provides students with hands-on experience by working on real projects in emerging technology areas.

Besides AI and web development, the programme covers domains such as cybersecurity, drones, robotics, quantum computing, defence electronics, space technologies, 5G and 6G communication, FinTech and mass communication.

Important Guidelines for Selected Candidates

Selected candidates will have to submit original documents along with photocopies at the time of joining.

These include a degree verification certificate from their institution, a police verification certificate, a government-issued ID proof, and passport-size photographs. Police verification is mandatory for this internship.

Working hours will be 9:30 AM to 5:30 PM, Monday to Saturday. Interns will be required to follow a formal dress code.

Personal smartphones and laptops will not be allowed inside the office premises. The organisation will provide workstations with internet access. Permission to use smart devices, if required for the internship, will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

The stipend of up to ₹75,000 will be paid after successful completion of the internship. The final amount will depend on attendance, and interns with less than 75% attendance will not be eligible for the stipend.

The Indian Army has also clarified that the internship does not offer placement assistance or employment after completion. Accommodation will not be provided, and selected candidates will have to make their own arrangements.

Interested students can apply through the AICTE Internship portal by August 1, 2026.
