Stipend and Eligibility
Under the scheme, eligible interns can receive a stipend of up to ₹50,000 per month, depending on their academic discipline. Candidates already receiving a fellowship or financial assistance will be paid the difference between their existing fellowship and the stipend offered under the UIDAI internship programme, subject to the applicable limit.
Applications will be evaluated based on academic performance, research background, and the relevance of the applicant’s expertise to UIDAI’s work. Meeting the eligibility criteria does not guarantee selection.
Application Process
Interested candidates can apply through the official UIDAI website before July 15, 2026. The authority said the internship is intended to encourage research and innovation while giving scholars practical experience in India’s digital identity ecosystem.
