Arvind Fashions Appoints Lakshmi Krishnan as Chief HR Officer

Arvind Fashions Limited has appointed Lakshmi Krishnan as its Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO), effective May 25, 2026.

She joins after a long leadership stint at Unilever, where she handled several global HR leadership roles across London, Singapore, Mumbai, and other international markets.

In her new role, she will strengthen Arvind Fashions Limited’s leadership team and people strategy to support business growth and transformation in India’s evolving fashion retail sector.

Extensive Experience

Lakshmi brings more than 25 years of experience in human resources, talent strategy, leadership development, and organizational transformation.

Most recently, she served as Head of HR for Corporate Functions at Unilever’s headquarters in London, overseeing HR strategy for global teams across finance, legal, communications, and sustainability functions, covering more than 7,000 employees.

Before that, she led HR for Unilever’s Global Procurement function in Singapore, managing talent initiatives for a business with a €31 billion spend, 1,500 employees, and over 60,000 suppliers.

She also held leadership roles as Global HR Director for Asia Supply Chain and Global HR Director for Unilever Engineering, where she managed large-scale workforce and transformation initiatives across APAC markets.

Lakshmi started her corporate career at Cognizant Technology Solutions and later worked at Lehman Brothers before moving into senior HR consulting and leadership roles.

She recently completed the CHRO Program at Wharton Executive Education and holds a Master of Social Work (MSW) in Human Resources from University of Madras, where she graduated as a University Gold Medalist.
