Gates Corporation Appoints Dee Sequeira as Head- HR, India

Gates Corporation has appointed Dee Sequeira as Head – Human Resources for its India operations and manufacturing business.

In this role, Sequeira will manage HR for Gates Corporation’s India operations, including four manufacturing plants and the company’s commercial and support teams. She is based in India and took charge in March 2026.

Extensive Experience

Sequeira has more than 20 years of HR experience across manufacturing, renewable energy, technology, engineering, and retail. Before joining Gates Corporation, she worked as Associate Vice President – Human Resources at Avaada Group, where she supported the company’s fast growth across India.

At Avaada, she handled major hiring programs, introduced digital HR systems through Darwinbox, and supported diversity hiring across manufacturing teams. She also helped hire more than 1,100 employees within six months for new renewable energy projects while maintaining labor and ESG compliance standards.

Before Avaada, Sequeira spent more than five years at First Solar. She worked as Head – HR, Talent Acquisition and DEI for India and also served as Lead HR Business Partner for international offices. During this period, she managed HR plans for large greenfield projects and supported hiring growth across APAC, EMEA, Japan, and Latin America.

She has also held senior HR roles at TSYS, Landis+Gyr, Unze London, and Dubai-based B13. Her work included talent acquisition, employee engagement, HR automation, and leadership development.

Sequeira holds an MBA in Human Resources Development from the University of Wales and is a graduate of St. Xavier’s College.
