Syngenta Appoints Armaan Seth as Head – HR Business Partnering

Syngenta has appointed Armaan Seth as Head – HR Business Partnering, based in Basel, Switzerland. He took charge of the role in September 2026.

In his new role, Armaan will work on HR business partnering at the company. His appointment adds to his experience across global HR leadership, talent and culture, regional HR, and business-focused people management.

Extensive Experience

Before taking up his current role, Armaan was Group Head – Talent & Culture at Syngenta Group, where he led the Global Talent & Culture team supporting business units across the Group.

His responsibilities covered Talent Acquisition, Learning, Leadership Development, Talent Management, Organisation Development and Change, HR Effectiveness, DEI, Performance Management, and People Insights & Analytics.

Earlier, he served as Global Head- HR, Syngenta Crop Protection. He led the People function for the Crop Protection business and was part of the Syngenta Crop Protection Executive Team and Syngenta Group HR Leadership Team.

Armaan also served as Head HR – Asia Pacific Region, managing HR for the Crop Protection and Seeds businesses across South Asia, Japan, ASEAN and Australia/New Zealand.

Before Syngenta, he spent nearly nine years with Philips in various senior HR leadership roles across the Netherlands, India and the US. His responsibilities included HR for global functions, the Global Solutions and Services business, and the Indian subcontinent.

He began his career with Marico Limited, where he worked as Senior Human Resources Business Partner for nearly five years.

Armaan holds an MBA in Personnel Management and Industrial Relations from XLRI Jamshedpur.
