Tata Realty and Infrastructure Appoints Dr. Shyam Sundar Choudhury as CHRO

Tata Realty and Infrastructure Limited (TRIL) has appointed Dr. Shyam Sundar Choudhury as its Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO).

In this new role, he will lead the company’s entire HR gamut and oversee talent management, employee engagement, and people development initiatives.

Extensive Experience

Dr. Choudhury has over two decades of experience in human resources, industrial relations, and business HR across the power, infrastructure, construction, and manufacturing sectors. Before joining TRIL, he worked with Tata Power for nearly 17 years in different HR leadership roles.

Most recently, he served as Chief- BHR for Tata Power Odisha Discoms. Earlier, he was Head – Human Resources at Tata Power Central Odisha Distribution Limited and also worked as Chief Human Resources Officer at TP Ajmer Distribution Ltd.

During his career at Tata Power, he also held roles such as Head – Business HR & IR at Coastal Gujarat Power Limited and Head of HR, IR, and ES & A at Maithon Power Ltd.

Before joining the Tata Group, he worked with Holcim as Area HR Manager for ACC Concrete Ltd. in Kolkata and with Larsen & Toubro’s ECC Division as Head – Plant & Machinery.

Dr. Choudhury holds an MBA in Human Resource Management from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Kharagpur.

He also completed a PhD in Business Administration and Management from the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Kashipur.
