Thermax Appoints Kavita Singh as Chief Human Resources Officer

Thermax has appointed Kavita Singh as its Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) and Senior Management Personnel. The company’s Board approved the appointment at its meeting on May 7, 2026. She will take charge on May 25, 2026.

In this role, she will lead Thermax’s people and culture agenda, focusing on talent development, employee engagement, leadership growth, and workforce planning.

Extensive Experience

Kavita brings more than 20 years of experience in human resources across manufacturing, logistics, insurance, and telecom. Before joining Thermax, she worked as CHRO at United Breweries Ltd.

In that role, she led employee programs, leadership training, change management, and staff wellness efforts across 19 plants, 16 co-pack units, and a workforce of more than 12,000 people.

Earlier, Kavita served as CHRO at Hindustan Zinc. She managed HR work across 11 locations with more than 20,000 employees and workers. Her work included leadership planning, talent programs, labor talks, governance, and local skill development projects.

She also spent more than 10 years with A.P. Moller – Maersk in leadership roles across India, the Middle East, Africa, and Europe. Kavita later became Regional Director and Head of Human Resources for Africa, South Asia, and the Middle East at Damco Logistics, where she handled HR operations across 27 markets.

Earlier in her career, she worked with ICICI Prudential Life Insurance, Tata AIG, and Reliance Communications in HR and talent management roles.

She holds an MBA in Human Resources Management from Bharathidasan Institute of Management and a Bachelor of Science (Honours) degree from University of Rajasthan.
