Industry sources said both companies have chosen Hyderabad because of its strong talent pool, established technology ecosystem, and supportive business environment.

The additions are expected to strengthen the city’s position as one of India’s leading GCC destinations.

CIBC Plans Large-Scale Operations

The Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce (CIBC), one of Canada’s largest banks, is expected to launch its Hyderabad GCC in July 2026. The centre is expected to employ more than 2,000 professionals over time.

The facility will support a range of functions, including technology development, banking operations, data analytics, digital transformation, cybersecurity, and financial services support.

The Hyderabad centre will play a key role in supporting CIBC’s global operations and customer-facing services.

The expansion is expected to create significant employment opportunities for professionals with expertise in banking technology, cloud computing, analytics, software engineering, and related fields.

Nestlé Expands Its Presence in India

FMCG giant Nestlé is also planning to establish a GCC in Hyderabad. While the company has not disclosed the size of the proposed centre or hiring plans, the move signals its intention to strengthen its global business support and technology capabilities from India.

Nestlé joins a growing list of multinational consumer goods companies that are setting up capability centres to manage technology, finance, procurement, supply chain, and business operations functions from India.

The company’s decision further highlights Hyderabad’s appeal as a location for global business services and innovation centres.

Hyderabad’s GCC Ecosystem Continues to Grow

Hyderabad has emerged as one of the fastest-growing GCC hubs in the country. The city already hosts centres of several global financial institutions and technology companies, including JPMorgan Chase, Goldman Sachs, HSBC, Barclays, American Express, and Wells Fargo.

The arrival of CIBC and Nestlé is expected to generate new jobs, attract additional investment, and further strengthen Hyderabad’s position as a key centre for global capability operations in India.
