The proposed facility will come up in Phase V of the Harohalli Industrial Area. Wipro Kawasaki has sought 30 acres of land for the project, and Karnataka Large and Medium Industries Minister M B Patil said the government would facilitate the land allocation.
Patil shared the details after meeting a delegation led by Wipro Kawasaki Precision Machinery CEO Minoru Hatsuda in Bengaluru. He said the company is expected to start operations at the new plant within a year.
However, the investment proposal has not received final approval yet. Patil said the company had been asked to begin the necessary work, while final approval for the investment proposal would be given at the next meeting.

The project is expected to create around 1,200 employment opportunities. The company has not yet provided a detailed hiring plan or a function-wise breakup of these jobs.
