BMC Gen Z Fellowship 2026: 50 Graduates to Get ₹61,500 Monthly Stipend

The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has opened applications for its Gen Z Fellowship 2026, offering 50 graduates a monthly stipend of ₹61,500 for a 12-month fellowship. Applications are open from August 19 to August 31, 2026, with a ₹500 application fee.

Fellowship Offers Civic Administration Experience

The fellowship will allow selected candidates to work within BMC’s civic administration and gain practical exposure to policymaking, administration, and municipal projects.

Fellows will also get an opportunity to interact with policymakers and understand how the city’s civic body operates.

The fellowship is for one year, and participants will receive a certificate after completing the programme. The programme has 50 seats in total.

According to the details available for the programme, fellows may be placed within different BMC offices and departments.

Their work can include supporting project planning, analysing information, preparing reports and assisting with administrative activities.

Eligibility, Stipend and Selection Details

Graduates from any discipline can apply, subject to the prescribed requirements. Candidates must be below 28 years of age at the time of application.

Applicants must be able to read, write and speak Marathi. They must also have adequate knowledge of Hindi and English, along with working knowledge of computers and the internet.
