IBM Opens 6-Week ML and Applied AI Internship 2026: Apply by Aug 22

The IBM SkillsBuild Machine Learning and Applied AI Internship 2026 is now open for students across India. The six-week virtual internship is being offered through CSRBOX and supported by IBM and BharatCares.

The programme is designed to give students practical exposure to Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning through expert-led sessions, IBM SkillsBuild courses and a guided capstone project.

60-Hour Learning Programme

The programme includes 60 hours of learning and project work. This includes 15 hours of live masterclasses led by AI professionals, 15 hours of self-paced learning through IBM SkillsBuild and 30 hours of guided capstone project work.

Participants will work on real-world AI application ideas and learn about AI tools, app design workflows and practical problem-solving. The programme also includes five live masterclasses and two mentoring sessions.

The internship is completely virtual and free of cost. Participants can access IBM industry courseware and software and may earn IBM badges and certificates on completing the required learning.

Who Can Apply?

The internship is open to students pursuing BE, BTech, BCA and MCA programmes in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics and allied disciplines. Students from Mechanical and Civil Engineering can also apply.

Basic knowledge of Python, AI or Machine Learning is recommended. Participants must have access to a computer or laptop with an internet connection.

The internship will run from August 24 to September 30, 2026. Attendance in mentor-led sessions is mandatory, and a Certificate of Completion will be provided to students who complete all programme requirements.

There are 1,000 openings, and the internship is unpaid. Participants can earn six academic credits. Applications are open until August 22, 2026.
