The Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) has invited applications from eligible final-year B.E./B.Tech and second-year M.Sc students for a six-month paid internship at CASDIC, Bengaluru, with applications open until October 11, 2026.

30 Internship Seats Available

The internship is being offered by the Combat Aircraft Systems Development and Integration Centre (CASDIC), a DRDO centre working on electronic warfare systems for the Indian Air Force.

There are 30 positions across three disciplines:

  • Electrical/Electronics & Communication/Electronics & Telecommunication: 12
  • Computer Science/Information Technology: 13
  • Mechanical Engineering: 5

The internship will be for six months and will be based at CASDIC in Bengaluru. The stipend is ₹5,000 per month.

Eligibility and Selection

The opportunity is open to students pursuing the final year of B.E./B.Tech or the second year of an M.Sc programme in the relevant disciplines.

Engineering students must have a minimum 7.5 CGPA in all previous semesters, while M.Sc students must have secured at least 70% marks in their first-year examination.

Applicants must be enrolled in a full-time course at an AICTE- or UGC-approved college or university. The advertisement also specifies an age limit of below 25 years.

How to Apply

Candidates have to submit the prescribed application form along with the required documents through email to [email protected]. Applications sent in hard copy will not be accepted.

The required documents include previous semester marksheets, a self-attested Aadhaar card copy, a college reference/request letter and a brief biodata of less than 300 words. Candidates also need to provide the formula used for CGPA conversion.

Selection will be based on marks obtained in previous examinations and an online interview or interaction, if required.

The last date for receipt of applications is October 11, 2026.

The stipend is subject to the student being present at the laboratory for at least 15 working days in a month.

It will be paid in two instalments, after three months and after completion of six months. CASDIC will issue a completion certificate after successful completion of the internship, including project evaluation and submission of the project report.

For students considering careers in engineering, technology and defence research, the internship provides an opportunity to gain experience in a DRDO laboratory while completing their academic programme.
