Apple Cuts Jobs Again, Second Layoff Round in Two Months

Apple has reportedly cut a small number of jobs from its Fitness+ team, marking the company’s second reported round of layoffs in less than two months. The latest cuts affect employees working on the audio side of Fitness+, including Time to Walk and Time to Run.

The exact number of employees affected in the latest round has not been disclosed. Reports say Apple is expected to release new audio content less frequently, while there is currently no indication that the Fitness+ service itself is being discontinued.

Earlier Cuts Affected More Than 200 Employees

The latest layoffs come about a month after Apple cut more than 200 positions across teams working on Siri, Vision Pro and software engineering. Around 100 positions were reportedly affected in the Vision Pro organisation, while another 100 or so were across Siri and related software teams.

The August restructuring also affected Apple’s Intelligent Systems Experience team, which works on AI-related features across its devices. Apple confirmed the earlier workforce changes and said some existing roles would be affected while new positions would also be created.
