As of May 2026, the company has scaled from just 427 employees in FY22 to over 3,111 personnel in FY25.
This rapid hiring spree aligns with the company’s push to dominate the logistics needs of India’s booming e-commerce and quick-commerce sectors.
ColdStar Logistics’ Commitment to Inclusivity and Diversity
A core pillar of ColdStar’s recent growth has been a deliberate shift toward gender inclusivity. In FY22, the company’s workforce included only nine women.

By FY25, that figure skyrocketed to 386 women, reflecting a focused effort to build a more diverse and balanced operational environment.
Sameer Varma, Executive Director at ColdStar Logistics, noted that scaling at this intensity requires building “future-ready” teams that prioritize consistency alongside rapid expansion.
Flexible Staffing and High-Tech Operations
To manage the volatile demand cycles typical of modern logistics, ColdStar has embraced a flexible staffing model.

The company now relies heavily on a mix of vendor-led hiring and daily wage staff to ensure efficiency during peak demand periods.
This human capital expansion is supported by significant infrastructure upgrades, including:
- Expansion to 200+ Cities: Operations now span major hubs like Mumbai, Delhi NCR, Bangalore, Hyderabad, and Chennai.
- Technological Integration: Deployment of AI-enabled inventory systems and multi-temperature warehousing.
- Wide Distribution Network: ColdStar currently operates 23 distribution centers and services over 7,000 pin codes.
Future Outlook: Productivity and Systems
Looking ahead, ColdStar plans to refine its HR framework by implementing structured onboarding and advanced training programs.
It will also introduce improved performance management systems.
These initiatives are designed to boost productivity and retention.
They will support the company as it continues to navigate the high-speed evolution of India’s cold chain landscape.
