DRDO Opens Applications for 40 Paid Internship, Apply by May 27

The Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) has invited applications for paid internship opportunities at its Research and Development Establishment (Engineers) [R&DE(E)], Pune.

The internship programme is open to engineering students seeking practical exposure to defence research and engineering projects.

40 Internship Positions

According to the official notification, DRDO is offering 40 internship positions for undergraduate and postgraduate students. Students pursuing B.E./B.Tech in the 7th or 8th semester and M.E./M.Tech students in the second year from AICTE or UGC-approved institutes are eligible to apply.

Candidates must have secured at least 75% marks or a CGPA of 7.5. Students with active backlogs are not eligible for the internship programme.

Duration and Stipend

The internship duration for undergraduate students will be six months, while postgraduate students can work for up to eleven months. Selected interns will receive a stipend of ₹5,000 per month.

Undergraduate students completing the six-month internship will receive a total stipend of ₹30,000, which will be paid in two instalments. Interns must maintain a minimum attendance of 15 working days every month to receive the stipend.

Selection and Documents

The selection process will be based on academic performance and merit. Shortlisted candidates may also be contacted for online or telephonic interaction.

Students selected for the internship will need to submit documents, including a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from their college, semester mark sheets, Aadhaar card, police verification acknowledgement, and medical fitness certificate upon joining.
