The University Grants Commission (UGC) has announced internship and research internship opportunities for Undergraduate (UG) students and released guidelines for applicants.

Interested students can apply through the official website www.ugc.gov.in for internship categories focused on employability, research skills, and practical training.

The announcement was shared by the UGC through an official post on X, informing students about the Internship/Research Internship programme for undergraduate students and the application process.

According to the Commission, the internship programme will help students gain practical exposure, improve workplace skills and build research abilities. Students are advised to visit the official UGC website to check internship categories and application details.

The second category is research-oriented internships, aimed at giving students training in research tools, methods and academic projects. These internships are expected to help students improve analytical and problem-solving skills.

Students may get opportunities to work with industries, universities, research organisations, government departments, NGOs and start-ups under the internship programme.

Focus on Practical Learning

The Commission said the internships are planned to support practical learning and career development among undergraduate students. Through these programmes, students will get exposure to workplace environments and learn skills such as teamwork, communication and decision-making.

UGC has asked eligible students to check the detailed guidelines available on the official website before submitting applications. The Commission is expected to share more updates regarding timelines, eligibility and internship opportunities through its official platforms.
