According to HCLTech’s regulatory filing dated October 26, 2026, the acquisition of 100% of Robotic Process Automation d.o.o., which operates as Robotiq.ai, was completed at 4:58 p.m. IST.
The transaction was executed through HCL Technologies Austria GmbH, a step-down wholly owned subsidiary of HCLTech.
Robotiq.ai Technology to Support Agentic AI
Robotiq.ai, based in Zagreb, Croatia, provides enterprise robotic process automation software that automates repetitive and manual tasks across business applications. Its technology is used by large banks, insurance groups and telecommunications providers.

HCLSoftware plans to integrate Robotiq.ai’s RPA capabilities with HCL UnO Agentic, its platform for coordinating AI agents and enterprise workflows. The integration is intended to help AI-driven systems execute tasks within business applications, including situations where application programming interfaces (APIs) are unavailable or insufficient.
The move addresses a key requirement for enterprise AI adoption: enabling AI systems not only to analyse information and coordinate workflows but also to carry out tasks across existing software applications.
Commenting on the acquisition announcement in September, Kalyan Kumar, President of HCLSoftware, said the combination would bring together workflow orchestration and enterprise execution capabilities, helping customers deploy and scale agentic AI across their operations.

HCLTech announced the proposed acquisition on September 28, 2026. The transaction was structured as an all-cash deal with an announced enterprise value of €9 million, subject to customary post-closing adjustments for net debt and working capital. The original announcement had indicated that the acquisition was expected to close in November.
Robotiq.ai reported revenue of €1.4 million for the financial year ended December 31, 2025, compared with €0.9 million in both 2023 and 2024. Its profit after tax stood at €0.2 million in 2025, according to the financial information disclosed in connection with the proposed acquisition.
The completion of the deal adds enterprise automation technology to HCLSoftware’s AI portfolio. HCLTech has not disclosed a detailed integration timeline in its acquisition completion filing.
