Wavicle Brings Data Engineering Expertise
Wavicle has experience managing Databricks across major hyperscale cloud platforms and has worked on data engineering projects across several industries. These include consumer goods, manufacturing, financial services, life sciences and healthcare.
Deloitte said Wavicle’s industry knowledge and engineering capabilities will help it develop customised data and AI solutions for clients. Its engineers will work with Deloitte teams to support faster delivery of solutions built around Databricks and other technologies.
Jason Salzetti, Chair and CEO of Deloitte Consulting LLP, said the combination of Deloitte and Wavicle would help clients strengthen their data foundations and address data-related challenges in their AI adoption journey.

Naveen Venkatapathi, Managing Director at Wavicle, said combining Wavicle’s technical and engineering talent with Deloitte’s AI and engineering business would help the company support clients across industries.
Strengthening Deloitte’s Databricks Business
The acquisition also adds to Deloitte’s existing relationship with Databricks. Deloitte has a long-standing alliance with the data and AI company, covering data, analytics and AI services.
At the 2026 Databricks Data + AI Summit, Deloitte was recognised with three Databricks Partner Awards in the Consulting and System Integrators category. The awards included North America Partner of the Year for regulated and unregulated industries, Banking Partner of the Year and Public Sector SLED Partner of the Year.

Deloitte said these awards reflect its work with clients in areas where data security, compliance and measurable business outcomes are important.
Focus on Enterprise AI
For many organisations, building a strong and modern data environment is an important step before deploying AI across the enterprise. Deloitte said the Wavicle acquisition will strengthen its ability to combine data engineering, industry knowledge and AI capabilities.
Sundhar Sekhar, chief services officer at Deloitte Consulting LLP, said Wavicle’s technical expertise and Deloitte’s Databricks offering would help clients modernise their data ecosystems and develop AI solutions for real-world business needs.
The acquisition will add Wavicle’s engineering talent to Deloitte’s broader data, AI and engineering capabilities. Deloitte expects the combined expertise to support clients as they move from AI experimentation to wider enterprise adoption.
