Focus on Mid-Market Companies
Accenture launched Accenture Edge in June 2026 to help mid-market companies adopt AI and modernise their core systems and operations. The business provides pre-built solutions covering areas such as core-system modernisation, AI adoption, security and operations.
Dai Hamaoka, representative director, president and Japan country managing director at Accenture, said COMWARE’s knowledge of mid-market companies, employees and client relationships would be combined with Accenture’s global capabilities.
Tetsu Kayama, president of COMWARE, said joining Accenture would give the company greater opportunities to grow as AI continues to change the technology industry. He also said COMWARE employees would have opportunities to grow as part of Accenture.
For HR and business leaders, the acquisition brings together more than 180 technology professionals with experience in SAP, CRM and business systems.
Accenture said the combined capabilities will support its efforts to provide technology and AI-related services to a wider group of mid-market companies in Japan.
