HCLSoftware to Acquire Robotiq.ai, Expanding Enterprise Automation

HCLSoftware, the software business division of HCLTech, has announced its intent to acquire Robotiq.ai, a Zagreb-based provider of enterprise robotic process automation (RPA) solutions.

The acquisition is expected to close in November 2026, subject to the required closing conditions. The acquisition will add Robotiq.ai’s RPA capabilities to HCL UnO Agentic, HCLSoftware’s platform for orchestrating AI agents and enterprise applications.

According to HCLSoftware, the combination is intended to help AI-driven workflows execute tasks in enterprise applications where APIs are unavailable or not sufficient.

Expanding AI-led Automation

Robotiq.ai’s platform is used by organisations across sectors including banking, insurance and telecommunications. HCLSoftware said the platform includes security controls, audit logs and flexible deployment options for enterprise use.

The acquisition is aimed at extending HCL UnO Agentic beyond AI-based decision-making to the execution of tasks across enterprise systems.

Kalyan Kumar, President, HCLSoftware, said enterprises are increasingly looking for AI systems that can move from experimentation to production-scale automation while maintaining security, governance and reliability.

Darko Jovišić, CEO and Co-founder, Robotiq.ai, said joining HCLSoftware would provide the company’s technology with greater enterprise reach and scale.

The deal reflects the growing focus among technology companies on combining AI agents with automation tools that can carry out tasks across existing enterprise applications.
