The project has been awarded by US-based AI cloud company Together AI and marks L&T’s entry into the AI Factory business.
The facility will support Together AI’s AI-native cloud platform and is designed for large-scale AI training, inference and fine-tuning workloads. The project will be developed by LTN Compute, L&T’s AI infrastructure subsidiary under Vyoma.AI.

- 10,000 NVIDIA B300 GPUs
- High-performance networking and ultra-low-latency interconnects
- Parallel storage for large-scale AI workloads
- AI infrastructure and operations capabilities
- Infrastructure designed for future expansion
The Chennai campus is planned as a gigawatt-scale AI infrastructure site. Its first phase is designed for 250 MW, with power infrastructure readiness of 150 MVA, providing scope to expand the AI Factory capacity as demand increases.
L&T Expands into AI Infrastructure
The order marks an important expansion of L&T’s digital infrastructure business as demand for computing capacity rises with the adoption of generative AI and other advanced technologies.

L&T had earlier announced plans with NVIDIA to develop sovereign, scalable gigawatt-scale AI infrastructure in India under the IndiaAI Mission. The initiative was designed to combine L&T’s engineering and infrastructure capabilities with NVIDIA’s GPUs, CPUs, networking and AI software stack.
The latest project with Together AI takes that broader AI infrastructure strategy into a commercial deployment, with a large GPU cluster planned specifically for AI workloads.
S N Subrahmanyan, Chairman and Managing Director, L&T, said AI is becoming foundational across industries and that AI Factories will support this transformation. He described the Together AI deployment as a significant milestone in L&T’s gigawatt AI infrastructure mission.
Supporting India’s AI Infrastructure Growth
Together AI will use the infrastructure for its AI-native cloud platform, enabling customers to develop, train and deploy AI applications at scale. The project is expected to strengthen the availability of advanced AI computing infrastructure in India.
For L&T, the order also expands its role from conventional infrastructure and engineering into high-end digital infrastructure, where demand is being driven by AI, cloud computing and data-intensive applications.
LTN Compute is developing AI-ready infrastructure across hyperscale AI data centres, sovereign cloud platforms, AI Factory services, GPU-as-a-Service and managed AI platforms. These services are intended to cater to governments, enterprises, cloud providers and AI companies.
The project adds to India’s growing investment in large-scale AI computing infrastructure and reflects the increasing need for high-density data centres capable of supporting the next generation of AI workloads.
