Adani Group Appoints Dharmendra Bhalani as Chief People Officer – PVC Business

Adani Group has appointed Dharmendra Bhalani as Chief People Officer to lead human resources for its PVC business.

In his new role, Dharmendra will lead enterprise-wide HR for the PVC business, which is in the greenfield project execution phase and moving towards commissioning and operations and maintenance (O&M).

The project involves an investment of ₹26,401 crore, according to his professional profile.

Extensive Experience

Dharmendra has been associated with Adani Group for over five years. Before his current appointment, he served as Associate Vice President (HR) and Lead – Talent Management, Learning and Development, Technology and Governance, supporting the petrochemicals business.

Earlier, as Site Head – Human Resources for the petrochemical business at Mundra, he built the HR and administration function and supported workforce expansion and compliance.

Before joining Adani Group, he was Head – Human Resources at Sun Pharma’s Injectable Formulations Division, where he managed HR, administration, security, workforce planning and cost optimisation.

Dharmendra spent over seven years at Nayara Energy, formerly Essar Oil, as Deputy General Manager – HR. His responsibilities included workforce planning, capability building, employee engagement, learning and development, and campus recruitment.

Earlier, he worked as Senior Manager – Human Resources at Essar Projects, handling HR for domestic and overseas hydrocarbon projects, including workforce mobilisation across the UAE, Singapore, Saudi Arabia and Kuwait.

He also worked as Manager – Human Resources at Adani Power, Manager – HR at Essar Projects, Manager – Talent Acquisition at Juriscape and Executive – HR at Gujarat Ambuja Exports.

Dharmendra holds a Master in Labour Welfare, with specialisation in Personnel Management and Industrial Relations and labour laws, from Gujarat University.

He also holds a bachelor’s degree in Mathematics from C. U. Shah Science College, Ahmedabad.
