HCLTech Elevates Rahuraman Venkatachalam as VP HR – Enterprise L&D

HCLTech has elevated Rahuraman Venkatachalam as Vice President HR – Enterprise Learning and Development, expanding his HR leadership role within the technology company.

In his new role, Rahuraman will be associated with HCLTech’s enterprise learning and development function, following his earlier role as Associate Vice President HR for Engineering and R&D Services.

Extensive Experience

Rahuraman brings more than 27 years of HR experience across information technology, banking and media, according to his professional profile.

He has spent more than five years with HCLTech, where he most recently served as Associate Vice President Human Resources – Engineering and R&D Services.

Before HCLTech, he worked with Cognizant Technology Solutions India as AVP HR for about three years. His role included HR leadership for the Digital Engineering Global Delivery Organisation.

He previously spent nearly three years with Barclays as Vice President – HRBP Lead, working in HR business partnering. Before that, he was Head HR – HRBP Function for the Southern Region at Bennett, Coleman and Co. Ltd. (Times Group), where he spent about two years.

His earlier career includes more than five years at Wipro Technologies as Senior Manager, Human Resources, and Head of Talent Engagement and Development for Technology Infrastructure Services.

He also spent nearly nine years with Tata Consultancy Services as Senior Manager, Human Resources, handling HR generalist, process improvement and delivery-centre responsibilities.

Rahuraman holds a Master’s degree in Human Resources Development and Management from IIT Kharagpur, completed between 1997 and 1999. He also holds a Master’s degree in Life Sciences from Loyola College.
