Isgec Heavy Engineering Appoints Mahua Chakrabarty as CHRO

Isgec Heavy Engineering has appointed Mahua Chakrabarty as Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO), effective October 1, 2026, as part of its senior management team.

As CHRO, Mahua will oversee the company’s people strategy, talent management, organisational development, change management and HR operations. She will be responsible for supporting people priorities across the organisation and its business operations.
Extensive Experience
Mahua brings more than 20 years of HR experience across engineering, manufacturing, IT, financial services and consulting.
Before joining Isgec, she spent over seven years with Maccaferri as Regional Head-HR for India, Southeast Asia and Pacific, where she handled the people portfolio across the region.

Earlier, she was Group CHRO at SEMAC Consultants, part of the Dalmia Group, handling HR responsibilities across India, the Middle East and Africa. She also worked with Xebia as Senior Director-HR & Training, covering India, the Middle East and the US.
Mahua spent nearly a decade with Hilti Group as Director-Human Resources & Training. Her experience at Hilti included HR leadership and training responsibilities. Earlier in her career, she worked with Quipo Infrastructure and GE Capital as Manager-HR & Training.
Her professional experience covers people strategy, talent management, organisational development, culture building, leadership coaching, industrial relations, HR operations and change management across multiple industries and geographies.
Mahua holds a Diploma in Business Management with specialisation in Human Resources and Marketing. She has also completed a Leadership Programme and Management Course from IMD, Lausanne, Switzerland.
