Urmi Chatterjee Appointed as Regional HR Head at Siemens Healthineers

Urmi Chatterjee has been elevated to Head HR – Asia, Middle East & Africa at Siemens Healthineers, expanding her HR leadership responsibilities across the region.

In her new role, she will oversee HR for the Asia, Middle East and Africa region, building on her earlier responsibility for India and APJ and her experience in regional and global HR leadership.

Extensive Experience

Urmi has more than 23 years of experience in human resources across healthcare technology, engineering and industrial businesses.

She has been with Siemens Healthineers for nearly three years and previously served as Head HR – India and APJ, working with businesses and HR teams across the region.

Before Siemens Healthineers, she spent more than 13 years with Honeywell, where she held several senior HR positions. Her most recent role was Vice President – Human Resources, where she led HR teams across APAC countries and worked on the regional talent agenda.

Earlier, she was HR Leader – Honeywell Engineering & HTS Global, supporting the global CTO on HR initiatives and managing HTS global sites. She also served as Director HR – HBT, Director HR – Global Aero & ACS and Director HR – HTS India, handling HR responsibilities across India, China, the US, Europe and Mexico.

Urmi began her career with Honeywell in 2003 and later worked with ABP, Calcutta, as Corporate Manager – Human Resources.

At Honeywell, her early work covered organisation development, competency mapping, training, recruitment and university relations. She is also a Six Sigma Black Belt.

She holds a PhD in Human Resources and Organisation Development from the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) and a Master’s degree in Economics from Calcutta University.
