TCS May Shift Bengaluru Staff to Yeshwanthpur as Bhuwalka Lease Nears End

However, TCS has said the Bhuwalka facility remains fully operational.

According to employees cited in a media report, notices have been placed at the Bhuwalka office asking associates to shift to Yeshwanthpur. The reported movement is taking place in phases, with seating arrangements being made at the new location.

Employees Report Office Relocation

Employees told Moneycontrol that TCS had also conducted an online survey around seven months ago seeking preferences between the existing Bhuwalka Offshore Development Centre (ODC) and a proposed new ODC at Yeshwanthpur.

The report also said employees from the Victor, Anchor and Pioneer buildings at International Tech Park Bengaluru (ITPB) in Whitefield were being moved to Yeshwanthpur. Some employees from the Electronics City campus were also reportedly shifted.

The developments suggest changes in how TCS is distributing employees across its Bengaluru offices. However, the company has not confirmed that the Bhuwalka facility is being closed.

The reported move follows TCS leasing 1.75 million sq ft of office space at Sattva Knowledge Point in Yeshwanthpur in September 2025. The five-year lease has a total rental outlay of about ₹975 crore, according to Moneycontrol.

The company is paying a monthly rent of about ₹15.37 crore, equivalent to ₹87.73 per sq ft. The agreement includes a 14% rent increase every three years and an option to renew the lease for another five years.

TCS is expected to occupy two towers at the Yeshwanthpur development. The project received its occupancy certificate in April 2025.

For employees, any office consolidation can affect commute time, transport arrangements and work-location preferences.

The extent of the reported shift and its impact on employees will depend on the final office allocation and TCS’ plans for the Bhuwalka facility.

TCS told Moneycontrol that the details regarding the reported closure were inaccurate, stating that its Bhuwalka facility is fully operational and that Bengaluru remains an important hub for the company.
