The new platform is expected to improve operational efficiency and support the exchange in developing new products and entering emerging asset classes.
TCS to Integrate Trading, Clearing and Surveillance
Under the agreement, TCS will implement an integrated platform covering trading, clearing, surveillance and market connectivity for DGCX.
The programme will combine several TCS solutions, including:

- Quartz for Surveillance to monitor market manipulation, fraud and unusual activity
- TCS BaNCS Securities Trading to support trading across asset classes
- Quartz Gateway for market connectivity, reporting and analytics, including generative AI-powered capabilities
The platform will also include trading and matching technology from a global exchange partner. The companies have not disclosed the name of the partner or the financial terms of the agreement.
The upgraded infrastructure will support DGCX’s existing derivatives markets across energy commodities, currencies, equities, bullion and precious metals.
Ahmed Bin Sulayem, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, DGCX, said the partnership will give the exchange greater capacity to develop new products and support regional and international market participants.

R. Vivekanand, President, BFSI Products and Platforms, TCS, said the combined technology platform will support DGCX’s growth, product development and expansion into new asset classes.
Platform Designed for Future Products
The new infrastructure is also intended to support DGCX’s expansion into emerging areas such as crypto and tokenised assets.
The partnership follows DGCX’s launch of its Gold Spot T+0 Contract in June 2026. The exchange described it as the GCC’s first same-day physically settled spot gold product offered on a regulated exchange.
The new technology platform is expected to make it easier for DGCX to introduce additional products while continuing to support its existing markets.
Why It Matters for HR Leaders
Although the partnership is primarily a technology and business development initiative, it also has implications for workforce skills.
As financial market infrastructure adopts AI, analytics and integrated digital platforms, organisations may need employees with stronger capabilities in AI, data analytics, financial technology and cybersecurity.
For HR leaders, this can mean greater focus on reskilling existing employees, hiring specialised technology professionals and preparing teams for changes in processes and responsibilities.
If DGCX expands into emerging asset classes, professionals with knowledge of digital assets and related technologies may also become increasingly relevant.
