The agreement marks the next phase of a trusted relationship spanning more than two decades.
Under the expanded engagement, TCS will transition from managing ABB’s IT infrastructure and applications to delivering end-to-end global network operations through an integrated Network-as-a-Service (NaaS) model.
The initiative is expected to strengthen ABB’s digital infrastructure while improving operational efficiency, security, compliance, and user experience.

At the heart of the engagement is ABB’s Future Network Model programme, an enterprise-wide initiative to build a standardized, centrally managed, and AI-enabled global network.
TCS will design, integrate, and operate ABB’s network ecosystem while orchestrating its multi-vendor environment to ensure seamless and secure operations across global locations.
The transformation programme will replace fragmented network environments with a scalable, service-driven architecture. It will include a centralized framework covering Service Integration and Management (SIAM), a global network operations center, advanced cybersecurity capabilities, and modernization of LAN, WAN, and Software-Defined WAN (SD-WAN) infrastructure.
TCS will also enable end-to-end monitoring and orchestration to deliver high-performance connectivity across ABB’s global operations.
Alec Joannou, Group CIO, ABB, said the Future Network Model is a significant step in strengthening the company’s digital foundation. “As our business evolves, it is critical to have an ecosystem that is resilient, secure, and aligned with our long-term transformation goals. Our partnership with TCS reflects a shared commitment to delivery excellence and continuous innovation,” he said.

Anupam Singhal, President – Manufacturing, TCS, said the engagement builds on over 20 years of collaboration between the two companies. “With AI embedded into the network operations model, we are helping build a resilient and intelligent network backbone that can continuously sense, adapt, and improve while enhancing reliability, security, user experience, and scalability,” he said.
Over the last two decades, TCS and ABB have delivered several strategic transformation initiatives, including the consolidation of multiple ERP systems onto a unified SAP platform and the acceleration of ABB’s cloud transformation journey.
The latest agreement further deepens the partnership as ABB continues to modernize its global digital operations.
