Tata Motors Announces Key Leadership Changes Appoints DP Nambiar as CHRO

Tata Motors Limited has announced Board-approved transitions in its Key Managerial and Senior Management Personnel on May 13, 2026.
Sudipto Kumar Das has resigned as Company Secretary & Compliance Officer, effective June 1, 2026. Succeeding him is Ranjan Kumar, an accomplished professional with over 25 years in Legal, Secretarial, and Corporate Affairs. Kumar’s appointment ensures seamless governance and regulatory adherence during Tata Motors’ growth phase.
In a parallel move, Sitaram Kandi steps down as Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO), effective close of business on May 28, 2026.
Taking the helm from May 29 is DP Nambiar, an HR leader with 30 years at Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), assumes the role from May 29. His career spans industry units, horizontal units, corporate functions, and major geographies, including leadership in the USA and Europe:

- Head – Business HR, TCS (Aug 2014–Mar 2020, Mumbai Metropolitan Region).
- Director HR – Continental Europe (Jun 2009–Jul 2014, Randstad, Netherlands).
- Global Head – Talent Acquisition (Oct 2004–May 2009, Mumbai).
- Head, Staffing – North America Operations (Jun 2000–Sep 2004, Greater Denver Area, USA).
- Human Resources roles (Nov 1995–May 2000, Bangalore).
Nambiar spearheaded major global recruitment and reskilling initiatives, talent integration from insourcing/acquisitions, and progressive workforce relations in Europe.
