Ingersoll Rand India Appoints Sunil Khanduja as Chairman

Ingersoll Rand (India) Limited has appointed Sunil Khanduja as Chairman of the Board, effective July 27, 2026. He will continue as Managing Director.

Sunil will hold both Chairman and Managing Director roles, working with the Board and management on business growth, operations, customer needs and manufacturing expansion in India.

Extensive Experience

According to his LinkedIn profile, Sunil has more than 28 years of experience across automotive, manufacturing and industrial businesses.

He began his career with Anand Group in 1998 as an Engineer in the Technical Services Group, working on CNC machine setup and installation for Echlin India.

He later joined Motherson Sumi Wiring India, where he spent more than six years in manufacturing engineering and supported new plant setup and operations.

He joined UNO MINDA as Leader – Manufacturing in 2006 and later moved to Landi Renzo in 2007 as Head Manufacturing – Plant Head.

He spent four years with the company, managing plant operations, production, production engineering and supply chain. He subsequently served as Plant Head at Victora and Tenneco before joining Ingersoll Rand in 2013.

At Ingersoll Rand, Sunil started as Plant Leader and became Director of Operations in 2018. He was appointed Operations Director – EMEIA, Business Head and Executive Director – India in 2023.

He became General Manager in 2024 and was appointed Managing Director later that year.

Sunil holds two MBA degrees from Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business and Alliance Manchester Business School, completed between 2017 and 2019. He also holds an engineering qualification from BITS Pilani.
