Titan Company Appoints Priya Mathilakath Pillai as Chief People Officer

Titan Company Limited has appointed Priya Mathilakath Pillai as Chief People Officer, effective April 1, 2027. She will succeed Swadesh Behera, who will superannuate on March 31, 2027.

In her new role, Priya will lead Titan’s people function, covering HR across its businesses and corporate functions. She will also become part of the company’s senior management, as the company continues to expand its businesses and workforce.

Extensive Experience

Priya has around 31 years of professional experience across retail, consumer products, insurance, hospitality and human resources. She is currently Head – HR, Retail and Corporate at Titan Company, where she has worked for more than 10 years since returning to the company in 2015.

Before her current role, Priya spent about seven years at Mahindra Retail as Vice President & Head – Ecommerce and HR. She handled HR as well as the company’s e-commerce business, with responsibilities covering people strategy, organisational development, talent management and performance management.

She previously worked with Titan Industries for about three years as Head – Training, where she was responsible for learning and development for Titan Watches, Tanishq and Titan Eye Plus.

Earlier in her career, Priya worked with Modi Revlon as Zonal Manager – South India & Sri Lanka and with Aviva Life Insurance India as Branch Manager – Bangalore.

She also held business roles at Unilever, Oriflame Cosmetics and Taj Hotels. Her early career included sales, business development and consumer-facing roles.

Priya completed the Mahindra Universe Programme in Organisational Leadership at Harvard Business School in 2014 and the Management Education Programme in General Management at IIM Bangalore in 2001.
