Apollo Tyres Appoints Mayank Jauhari as Group Head HR

Apollo Tyres, a leading tyre manufacturer, has appointed Mayank Jauhari as Group Head HR, effective July 2026.

In his new role, Mayank will work on global rewards architecture, performance management processes, HR transformation, technology integration and global mobility. His responsibilities will cover areas that support the company’s people processes across its operations.

Extensive HR Experience

Mayank brings around 20 years of experience in human resources, with a career spanning Maersk, Novartis, PepsiCo, ICICI Prudential Life Insurance and HCL Technologies.

Before joining Apollo Tyres, he spent nearly 10 years with A.P. Moller – Maersk, where he held several senior HR roles.

Most recently, he was Global Human Resources Director at Maersk, where he was responsible for HR partnerships across Operations, Finance, Corporate Affairs and Strategy. He also handled HR for the company’s global shared services, procurement and fleet management functions.

Before this, Mayank served as Director HR for Maersk’s Global Shared Services and CCO Office for more than two years. He worked on people process deployment across Maersk’s global shared services footprint and was involved in HR support for new sites in Poland and Mexico.

Earlier, he spent nearly three years as Regional Head of Rewards – Asia, where he worked on compensation and benefits across 28 countries and more than 90 legal entities. He was also involved in a global HR transformation programme that included Workday implementation, process standardisation and staffing.

Before Maersk, Mayank worked with Novartis, where he headed the compensation and benefits function for the India Pharma organisation and also supported the Immunology Specialty Sales team as an HR Business Partner.

He spent nearly five years with PepsiCo, handling HR business partnering, performance management, talent management, staffing and organisation capability roles across different markets.

He started his career with HCL Technologies as a Management Trainee in 2006 and later worked in HRIS, including the development of an employee exit management system. He subsequently joined ICICI Prudential Life Insurance as an HR Manager.

Mayank holds a PGPHR in Human Resources from Management Development Institute (MDI), Gurgaon, and an engineering degree in Metallurgy from The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda.
