The program is offering eligible faculty members an additional opportunity to apply for the prestigious initiative. The deadline was earlier set for June 25, 2026.
The extension is expected to encourage more faculty members from AICTE-approved institutions to participate in the programme, which is designed to bridge the gap between academia and industry through immersive industrial exposure.
What is the AICTE Industry Fellowship Programme?
The AICTE Industry Fellowship Programme enables faculty members from engineering, management, pharmacy, architecture, and other AICTE-approved institutions to work full-time with leading industries for a period of six months to one year.

The initiative aims to equip educators with hands-on industry experience, helping them understand emerging technologies, innovation practices, and real-world business challenges.
Faculty members are expected to transfer this knowledge to students by updating the curriculum, teaching methods, and research activities.

The fellowship is open to regular faculty members of AICTE-approved institutions who meet the following criteria:

The fellowship is expected to begin between July 20 and July 25, 2026, after the completion of the selection process.
Why the Programme Matters
The Industry Fellowship Programme is part of AICTE’s broader effort to strengthen collaboration between academia and industry. By giving faculty members direct exposure to industrial environments, the programme aims to improve classroom teaching, promote applied research, encourage innovation, and make graduates more industry-ready.
With the deadline now extended to July 5, 2026, eligible faculty members who missed the earlier application window have another chance to apply and become part of this initiative.
