The center is designed to strengthen Wipro’s ability to deliver enterprise AI solutions by integrating Claude models across the Wipro Intelligence™ platform stack.
These capabilities will be embedded into delivery, functional, and industry-specific platforms, enabling organizations to incorporate AI into critical business workflows and processes.
Building AI Talent and Industry Solutions
A key component of the initiative is Wipro’s investment in developing a global network of Forward Deployed Engineers (FDEs) trained on Claude models.

These specialists work closely within client environments, combining expertise in AI technologies with an understanding of business operations to accelerate implementation and drive measurable outcomes.
The Applied AI CoE will also serve as a hub for developing AI-native platforms and industry-focused solutions across sectors, including mortgage services, healthcare, airlines, manufacturing, and consumer businesses.
By embedding Claude models into these platforms, Wipro aims to support co-innovation with clients and help organizations move from AI experimentation to enterprise-wide deployment.
In addition to client-focused initiatives, Wipro plans to use the technology within its own operations, integrating AI into functions such as finance, human resources, and sales as part of its internal transformation efforts.
Focus on Enterprise-Scale AI Adoption
Wipro has also announced plans to certify 10,000 front-line delivery experts on the use of Claude models over the next 18 months.
The program is intended to create a large pool of AI practitioners capable of designing, deploying, and managing AI-enabled systems in complex enterprise environments.
Commenting on the development, Srini Pallia said the new CoE strengthens Wipro’s enterprise AI leadership and supports its vision of being a consulting-led, AI-powered organization.
He noted that combining Claude’s capabilities with Wipro’s industry expertise will help clients accelerate AI adoption and achieve measurable business outcomes.
The launch of the Applied AI Center of Excellence reflects Wipro’s broader commitment to becoming an AI-native enterprise while helping clients unlock greater value from artificial intelligence.
