Wipro Launches STO360 with Aramco and SAP for Asset-Intensive Industries

Wipro has launched Wipro STO360, a solution developed with Aramco and SAP to help asset-intensive organisations manage Shutdown, Turnaround and Outage (STO) activities more efficiently.

Built on SAP Business Technology Platform (SAP BTP), the solution is designed for industries such as oil and gas, chemicals, mining, manufacturing and utilities. Wipro said STO360 provides real-time visibility into critical activities, improves coordination between teams and supports decision-making across the STO lifecycle.

Solution for Shutdown and Turnaround Management

According to Wipro, STO360 uses a cloud-native architecture and is designed to help organisations improve asset reliability, operational efficiency and compliance while reducing risks associated with maintenance programmes.

The solution brings together Wipro’s industry and technology capabilities with Aramco’s operational experience. It is intended to support organisations in planning and executing shutdowns, turnarounds and outages, which involve large-scale maintenance activities and coordination across multiple teams.

Vinay Firake, CEO of APMEA at Wipro, said asset-intensive industries are facing greater operational complexity and regulatory requirements. He said STO360 combines Wipro’s industry expertise, AI capabilities and cloud engineering to support STO operations.

Ahmad O. Al Khowaiter, Aramco Executive Vice President of Technology & Innovation, said the solution is expected to support Aramco in improving the planning and execution of turnaround and inspection activities, with a focus on process efficiency and productivity.

Wipro has worked with Aramco for more than two decades across areas including IT, engineering and digital transformation. The companies have also worked on initiatives linked to Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030.

SAP has recognised Wipro STO360 as an SAP Endorsed App. The solution is available through the SAP Store and uses SAP BTP for security, scalability, portability and extensibility.

Darryl Gray, Global Senior Vice President of ISV Partner Management at SAP, said partner-developed solutions such as STO360 support SAP’s focus on cloud-based and business AI capabilities for enterprise customers.
