Airedale by Modine Appoints Kumaraguru S as Director – HR

Kumaraguru S has joined Airedale by Modine as HR Director, bringing nearly two decades of human resources experience across electronics, automotive and performance chemical manufacturing sectors.

In his new role, Kumaraguru will lead the people and HR agenda for Airedale by Modine’s new greenfield manufacturing facility in Vallam, Tamil Nadu.

His responsibilities will include workforce planning, talent acquisition, employee engagement, HR operations and organisational development across the APAC region.

Extensive Experience

Before joining Airedale by Modine, Kumaraguru was associated with Pegatron, where he served as Director – Human Resources and earlier as Head of HR and Deputy Director. His responsibilities included HR leadership and supporting greenfield manufacturing initiatives.

He was also associated with Tata Electronics as Director – Human Resources, where he contributed to major manufacturing and organisational initiatives, including the Tata Electronics–Pegatron joint venture.

At Toray Industries, Kumaraguru served as Section Manager – Human Resources and General Affairs from 2018 to 2021.

He worked on the company’s greenfield project at Sri City, supporting factory infrastructure and HR function setup, talent ramp-up, training and development, statutory compliance, employee engagement and performance management.

Earlier, he worked with Renault Nissan Automotive India as Assistant Manager – HR from 2015 to 2018, handling industrial relations, labour matters, statutory compliance, collective bargaining, campus hiring and liaison with government and labour authorities.

Kumaraguru was an HR Specialist at Nokia India from 2010 to 2015, working across talent acquisition, university relations, campus hiring, training and development, employee relations and employer branding. Before Nokia, he worked in HR at Royal Enfield and began his career with CavinKare as an HR Consultant.

He holds a Master’s degree in Human Resources Management from Loyola College, Chennai.
