Apollo ropes in JP Morgan Chase’s Piyali Chowdhry as Head- HR, India

Apollo Global Management Inc., a global alternative investment management firm appoints Piyali Chowdhry as Head of Human Capital, India.

Earlier, she was working with JPMorgan Chase & Co as Head- HR Advisory, Corporate Centres, India.

In her new role, Piyali is responsible for Apollo Global Management and its captive centre Apollo India Services. She will drive strategic HR, both global and local, across all entities in India.

An alumnus of XLRI, Piyali comes with over 25 years of experience in various HR roles, including recruitment, campus programmes, performance management and leadership development.

She started her career at Citi Bank and worked here for over 12 years. Most recently she has served as HR Lead at Citi Bank. Previously, she has been associated with Nomura as Senior HR Advisor and Barclays Bank as Senior HR Business Partner (GRCB).

Piyali did graduation in Psychology from Indraprastha College for Women, University of Delhi and holds a PG Diploma in Personnel Management & Industrial Relations from XLRI Jamshedpur. She completed her Summer Intern at Unilever.
