Capgemini Appoints Sayan Guha as Director – Global AI & Data Science

Capgemini has appointed Sayan Guha as Director – Global AI & Data Science Practice, bringing over two decades of experience in AI, data and analytics.

In his new role, Sayan will contribute to Capgemini’s global AI and data science practice, supporting AI initiatives, advanced analytics, enterprise technology programmes, data and AI capabilities, and solutions for global enterprise clients across industries.

Extensive Experience

Sayan began his career at Tech Mahindra in 2006 as a Software Engineer, working on data integration and data warehousing for telecom projects across Australia and New Zealand.

He moved to IBM in 2008 as a Data Integration (ETL) Consultant, handling ETL architecture, development and engineering.

In 2011, he joined Wipro Technologies as Project Leader – Data Integration & Data Modelling and later became Data Architect – Retail & Consumer, UK. His work covered data warehousing, modelling, governance and architecture for retail projects.

He joined Cognizant in 2016 as Data Architect – Cloud Data Solutions and later took up roles in AI and analytics. Over more than a decade, he worked on data architecture, cloud solutions, machine learning, Generative AI, Agentic AI, deep learning and automation.

His last Cognizant role was Associate Director – AI & Analytics, where he led AI communities and innovation initiatives.

Sayan holds an M.Tech in AI and ML from BITS Pilani and a B.Tech in Electronics and Communications Engineering from West Bengal University of Technology.
